Sarah Evelyn Helm Brown, 48, of Brownwood, Texas, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022.
Born Dec. 18, 1973, in Colorado City, Texas, she was the daughter of Daniel Helm and Debra Adams. She graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, Texas, in 1992. Most recently she worked at Harriss Farmers Insurance as a newly licensed insurance agent.
Surviving are her daughters, Cassidy Marie Brown, 14, and Evelyn Rose Brown, 8, and their father, Chris Brown, all of Brownwood; her parents, Debra Adams of Brownwood, and Daniel (Carol) Helm of San Angelo; her brothers, Donovan Helm, Samuel Helm, Tyler Pustka, and Mitchell (Chelsi) Pustka, all of San Angelo; her sister, Patti Pustka (Alex) Recendiz of San Angelo; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sarah was adored by so many, and she poured out a seemingly endless supply of affection and compassion on her loved ones and anyone else in her path that needed it. Her smile was both welcoming and contagious, and she was well known for giving the warmest, most sincere hugs. Sarah was among the most generous and beautiful of His creations; she was sunshine in human form.
To those she leaves behind, she is gone far too soon. Resting peacefully in God’s company, she is missed more than her family or friends can express. Each day with her was a gift. You knew Sarah cared about you because she never missed an opportunity to say it. As we are forced to move forward without her here on Earth, we take solace in knowing she lives on in her daughters and in our hearts. Kindness, love, and tolerance are her legacies. If we cling to those ideals in her honor, she remains with us still. No words accurately convey our sorrow from her passing, but we rejoice to know she is at peace.
Sarah was cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood.
