The Brownwood Lady Lions are seeking a 2-0 start to the home portion of their schedule as they host the Gatesville Lady Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gordon Wood Stadium.
Brownwood will attempt to bounce back from only its third loss in 12 outings this season, a 4-1 setback at the hands of Class 6A Abilene High Feb. 2 at Shotwell Stadium.
In the defeat, Brownwood surrendered three goals in the first half and one in the second. The only goal for the Lady Lions came from Ashley Strong with 40 seconds left.
The only other home game for the Lady Lions occurred on Jan. 29, a 5-1 victory over Alvarado.
In the home triumph, Jaycee Lenz scored the first goal 3:45 into the contest, then Tristan Escamilla broke a 1-1 tie with 13:33 left before halftime. Escamilla tacked on two goals in a 30-second span with 16 minutes remaining, and Madison Chesser concluded the scoring with 5:10 left.
