Brownwood slips to 11-13 on the season following 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 road defeat
GRAHAM – The Brownwood Lady Lions dropped their third consecutive match since eclipsing the .500 mark, falling to the Graham Lady Blues, 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 Friday night.
Brownwood (11-13) moved over the .500 mark with five straight wins during the Dublin tournament, but has since fallen to Millsap in the championship game, Class 6A Abilene High this past Tuesday and Graham.
In Friday's match, Torrey Miller recorded 15 kills for Brownwood trailed by nine from Mikaela Smith, seven from Bailey Randle, two from Aleyia Cotton and one apiece from Annie Gillispie, Cheyenne Stroope, Kayla McFarden, Alex Fowler, Tyra Cotton and Ashlynn Patteson.
Hadley Monroe distributed 23 assists, Miller added nine and Randle was credited with one.
McFarden and Aleyia Cotton served the aces for the Lady Lions.
On the defensive end, McFarden tallied 17 digs followed by Miller with 15, Randle with 13, Fowler with nine, Monroe with eight, Aleyia Cotton with two and Stroope and Smith with one apiece.
At the net, Miller notched three blocks, Smith added two and Stroope and Aleyia Cotton finished with one apiece.
The Lady Lions are back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday as they host Hico.
