BANGS — The Bangs Lady Dragons were dealt a 25-13, 25-11, 25-5 home loss by Class 2A No. 5 Bronte Tuesday night.

“We played a really good Bronte team and hopefully we learned from them,” said Bangs head coach Lori Eason. “The only way you get better is playing people better than you. We’re still trying to find some consistency before district starts.”

Karlie Little and Harley Montague led the Lady Dragons with two kills apiece while Alli Allen, Kenzie Baker and Kenedi Deal contributed one each.

Baker served Bangs’ only two aces and also dished out four assists, while Allen and Marianna Alvarado were credited with one assist each.

On the defensive end, Little finished with a team-best four digs followed by Allen, Deal and Vanessa Perez with two apiece and Kim Robinson with one.

At the net, Baker and Montague were credited with five blocks followed by Kyra Smith with four and Allen and Deal with two each.

Bangs (5-12) returns to action Saturday in Wall with two matches against Crane and host Wall.
