SAN SABA — The Bangs Lady Dragons picked up one victory in their final three outings at the San Saba tournament over the weekend, rallying from a three-point deficit with 48 seconds left to knock off Llano, 25-24, Friday.
The Lady Dragons fell to eventual tournament champion San Saba, 44-29, Friday night and lost to Class 2A No. 14 Hico Saturday as Bangs is now 2-6 on the season.
Against Llano, Ryli Pruitt led the way with eight points, including the game-winning free throw with nine seconds left, while Taylor Malett chipped in five points.
In the loss to San Saba, Malett led Bangs with 12 points while Kyra Smith chipped in eight.
Information on the Hico game was not available at press time.
The Lady Dragons (2-6) welcome Merkel at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
