LAMPASAS — The Brownwood Lions were unable to follow Saturday’s season-opening 39-point triumph with another win as the Lampasas Badgers collected an 89-60 victory Monday.

“Lampasas is a really good team that shot lights out from the three-point line,” said Lions first-year head coach Nadir Dalleh. “They hit 12 three-pointers and we couldn’t overcome that. I saw a lot of positive things and the film will show what we need to work on.”

Brownwood trailed 30-19 after one quarter, 46-27 at halftime and 57-38 through three periods.

Blake Bronniman led the Lions with 18 points trailed by Sean Yoder with 10, Arias Duffie with seven, Xavier Porter and Tristin Revada with six apiece, Blaize Infinger with five, Corleone Pressley with four and McLane Moore and Wyatt Burleson with two points.

The next action for the Lions (1-1) takes place at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Jim Ned.
