EARLY — After ending the San Saba tournament with a trio of victories, the Early Lady Horns were looking to extend their win streak as they returned home Tuesday night.

The Clyde Lady Bulldogs had other plans, however, as they dished out a 46-19 loss to the host Lady Horns.

Early (5-5) was in a hole from the get-go, trailing 11-4 after one quarter and 27-10 by halftime. Clyde (3-1) extended its advantage to 36-17 by the end of the third period.

The Lady Horns received four points each from Alexis Ray and Hallie Tyler, three points from Lauren Jesko, two apiece from Hunter Coffee, ShaunnaKay Connelly and Ellie Ryan and one point each from Jayslin King and Kacee Gober.

For Clyde, 6-4 post Monica Driscoll led the offense with 16 points and approached double figures in blocks on defense.

Jaycie Fortune also finished in double digits with 11 points for the Lady Bulldogs, trailed by Carissa McMillan with eight, Cierra Bryan with seven and Samantha Sanford and Bailey Hafner with two points each.

Early hosts Class 2A No. 11 Hico at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
