Seven members of the Brownwood Lions baseball team received all-district baseball accolades.
First-team selections included shortstop Grayson Swanzy (.277, 14 RBIs), third baseman Gavon Clemons (.373, 4 HRs, 32 RBIs), first baseman Rylan Reagan (.289, 4 HRs, 23 RBIs), pitcher Hayden Donahoo (5-1, 1 save, 2.70 ERA, 47 strikeouts, 20 walks, 4 HBP, 47 innings; (.342, 12 RBIs), outfielder Reece Rodgers (.306, HR, 10 RBIs)and catcher Cain Kittrell (.312, 4 HR, 20 RBIs).
Making the second team was outfielder A.J. McCarty (.235, 2 RBIs).
Superlative award winners included Sweetwater senior Mason Maxwell as MVP, Abilene Wylie senior Caleb Munton as Offensive MVP, Wylie senior Gatlin Martin as Defensive MVP, Snyder senior Lance Davis as Pitcher of the Year and Wylie freshman Jaxon Hansen as Newcomer of the Year.
The Lions finished with a 17-11 record under second-year head coach Blandon Hancock, 4-4 in district, and advanced to the playoffs for the second year in a row.
