Three matches into the team tennis season, and the Brownwood Lions and Lions are still undefeated.

After a season-opening home shutout of Sweetwater on Wednesday, Brownwood followed with road victories over Killeen High, 16-3, and Harker Heights, 12-7, on Friday.

In the win over Killeen High, the Lions swept all nine of their matches, while the Lady Lions chipped in six wins.

Singles wins on the boys side belonged to No. 1 Gabe Hinojosa (8-3 over Ramos), No. 2 Mo Goff (8-1 over Silva), No. 3 James Bautista (8-6 over Gill), No. 4 Cameron Smith (8-3 over Rice), No. 5 Jadyn Simental (8-3 over Joseph) and No. 6 Alex Smith (8-0 over Anthony).

Lion tandems earning victories were the No. 1 team of Hinojosa and Cameron Smith (8-5 over Ramos and Silva), the No. 2 duo of Goff and Matthew Bundick (8-6 over Gill and Rice) and the No. 3 pairing of Oscar Ledezma and Clark Delatorre (8-0 over Joseph and Anthony).

The Lady Lions swept all three of their doubles matches as wins were collected by the No. 1 team of Piper Barberie and Mckinzie Adkins (8-2 over Ramirez and Habtiah), No. 2 Kaytlin Welch and Hannah Netherland (8-4 over Ghee and Messarrachio) and No. 3 Lillian Jonescue and Aaliyah Uvalle (8-2 over Cannon and Rivera).

Picking up girls singles victories were No. 3 Welch (8-6 over Cannon), No. 4 Adkins (8-2 over Ghee) and No. 6 Kaylee Renfroe (8-0 over LaPortia).

Brownwood also won the mixed doubles match as Bautista and Victoria Ramos downed Cannon and Ramos.

In the triumph over Harker Heights, seven wins were earned on the boys side while the girls collected five victories.

The Lions won all three doubles matches — No. 1 Hinojosa and Smith (8-2 over Boehm and Dalman), No. 2 Goff and Bundick (8-2 over Bailey and Flint) and No. 3 Ledezma and Delatorre (8-0 over Austin and Connes).

Lions tallying singles victories were No. 1 Hinojosa (8-2 over Boehm), No. 4 Cameron Smith (8-3 over Bailey), No. 5 Ledezma (8-6 over Flint) and No. 6 Bundick (8-0 over Austin).

Lady Lion singles wins were notched by No. 4 Adkins (8-1 over O.Bryant), No. 5 Uvalle (8-6 over Govan) and No. 6 Renfroe (9-7).

The No. 1 team of Barberie and Adkins (8-5 over Eneli and Walker) and the No. 3 tandem of Uvalle and Jonescue (8-5 over O' Bryant and Govan) tallied girls doubles wins.

The Lions and Lady Lions (3-0) are slated to play Odessa High Saturday morning at Killeen High.
