ROUND ROCK — Brown County was represented by a half dozen competitors at the UIL Cross Country State Championships at Old Settler’s Park Saturday.

Brownwood, May and Zephyr each sent two runners to the event — two girls from Brownwood and one boy and one girl apiece from May and Zephyr.

For the Lady Lions, Darby Crysler placed 47th in a time of 12:42.09 while Izzy Lawrence finished 67th in a time of 12:48.83.

In Class A girls action, Gabby Durbin of Zephyr came in 42nd time of 13:16.44, while May’s Melanie Murphree was clocked at 13:56.02 at finished 76th.

The Class A boys competition included Zephyr’s Garit Durbin earning 48th place in a time of 18:04.21 while May’s Boone Allen was 66th overall with an effort of 18:32.18.
