Seven Early Lady Horns and five Bangs Lady Dragons were honored with all-district recognition by the volleyball coaches from 6-3A.

A pair of Lady Horns received superlative honors as senior Kacee Gober was tabbed Blocker of the Year, while fellow senior Emma Loven earned the Academic Player of the Year award.

First-team selections for Early were senior Ellie Ryan and freshman Taylor Summers,

landing on the second team was junior Trinity Tomlinson, and receiving honorable mention were senior Hope Boswell and junior Vance Cady Gordon.

For Bangs, senior Kenzie Baker was the lone first-team selection, junior Kyra Smith was picked for the second-team and honorable mention went to junior Trenedi Deal and sophomores Halle Lance and Skylar Hutchins.

Making academic all-district from Early were Tomlinson, Boswell, Gordon, Loven, Gober, Summers, Ryan, Haley Spieckerman, Kenzie Poindexter, and Alexa Portillo.

Academic all-district honorees from Bangs were Lance, Hutchins, Deal, Baker, Smith, Zhynese Finley, Jacie Blissard, Jordyn Pitts, Madison Martin, Magalena Morales, and Jacee Miller.

The Lady Horns posted a program-best record of 21-17 under second-year head coach Natalie Whitewood and made the playoffs, while the Lady Dragons came up shy of a postseason berth under first-year head coach Callie Molloy.
