Former Brownwood Lady Lion and Hill College Lady Rebel Tristan Escamilla was voted NJCAA Second-Team All-American, All-Conference, NJCAA Region V Player of the Year and MVP of the regional soccer tournament, which was won by Hill for the fifth consecutive season.

Escamilla, a sophomore, tallied 13 goals and 28 points, both of which led all Region IV women’s soccer players. Escamilla tallied six more goals than anyone else in the league, and recorded 10 more points.

Hill finished with a 13-2 overall record, advancing to the NJCAA Plains District Championship Game — the second round of the playoffs following the Region V tournament. The Lady Rebels defeated Barton in the first round of the playoffs after knocking off Ranger for the Region V Championship.

Hill competes in the same conference as Ranger, Cisco, and Western Texas.
