MAY — The May Lady Tigers remained atop the District 18-A girls basketball standings with their third consecutive league victory, 62-29 over the Zephyr Lady Bulldogs Friday.

May (13-4, 3-0) led Zephyr (1-3 in district) by an 11-9 count after one quarter, 28-12 at halftime and three 45-16 through three frames.

Four Lady Tigers finished in double figures — Kaylee Harris with 16 points, Kelsey Chambers with 13, and Roberta Robinette and Marilyn Infante with 11 points apiece. Kyndi Kilgo chipped in six points while Reese Chambers and Melanie Murphree scored two each.

Zephyr received 21 points from Sidney Magnus, six from Emily Miller and two points from Jaylee Walters.

The Lady Tigers and Lady Bulldogs will both return to action Dec. 27-29 at the May tournament.
