GLEN ROSE – Jaryn Pruitt finished first overall and the Brownwood Lions came in third as a team at the Iredell Dragon Invitational, held at Glen Rose’s Squaw Valley Golf Course Thursday.

Pruitt fired a two-under par round of 70 and was the only golfer to break par at the event. Finishing two strokes back was runner-up Zak Bonz of Glen Rose.

As a team, the Lions carded a 330 composite score which trailed only Gatesville (313) and Goldthwaite (326). Brownwood placed ahead of Stephenville (354), China Spring (358), Clifton (377), Iredell (392), Midway (412), Riesel (436), West (436) and Whitney (508).

Caden Reagan chipped in a round of 79 for the Lions followed by an 89 from Ben Kallman, a 92 from Ian Harris and a 115 from Jay Monson.

The Lions will return to action March 20 at Canyon West Golf Course in Weatherford at the District 7-4A preview tournament.
