BRADY — Coming off a 3-3 weekend performance at the Bronte tournament, the Early Lady Horns volleyball team added another victory to its tally Tuesday night.

Facing the Brady Lady Bulldogs for the second time in less than a week, Early notched another straight-set victory, 25-11, 25-9, 25-14.

Early, which improved to 9-8 overall, also knocked off Brady at the Bronte tournament.

“This was an outstanding win after a big tournament,” said Early head coach Natalie Whitewood. “We came out strong and kept pushing.”

Trinity Tomlinson collected nine kills for the Lady Horns followed by Taylor Summers and Alexa Portillo with six apiece, Savannah Holt and Carrigan Norris with two each and Vance-Cady Gordon with one.

Gordon also contributed 18 assists while Summers and Portillo had a hand in one each.

Tomlinson's two aces were a team-best while Haley Spieckerman added one.

Defensively, Spieckerman logged 18 digs trailed by Tomlinson with 13, Gordon with 10, Portillo with six, Norris and Summers each with four, Gwen Phillips with two and Holt and Khyla Bell with one apiece.

At the net, Tomlinson recorded two blocks and Summers chipped in one.

The Lady Horns will be back in action Thursday and Saturday at the Strawn tournament.
