The Howard Payne Lady Jackets are still seeking their first victory at Citizens National Bank Field this season, as they suffered a 1-0 non-conference home loss to Southwestern Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Jackets are now 2-2-1 on the season, but both wins came away from home.

Against Southwestern Tuesday, the Lady Jackets surrendered the game's lone goal 5:35 into the second half when Karlee Holmes lit up the scoreboard.

Howard Payne finished with 12 shots including six on goal — two by Kelsey Bunch and one apiece from Marisah Mata, Jayde Miyamoto, Kaegan Sims and Heaven Rossette.

Southwestern fired 22 shots with 16 on frame as Delaney Castor recorded 15 saves for Howard Payne.

The Lady Jackets are back in action at 4 p.m. Saturday as Southwestern Assemblies of God comes to Brownwood.
