EASTLAND — The Bangs Lady Dragons dropped their second consecutive District 6-3A volleyball contest Tuesday night to league front-runner Eastland in straight sets.

“I changed the line up and switched things up but the girls didn't make excuses,” said Bangs first-year head coach Cheyenne Lovelady. “I'm continuously proud of them for staying positive and fighting. They are doing their best at everything I ask them to do and it will pay off. We need to focus on limiting our errors in crucial moments so that we can beat teams like Eastland.”

Maggie Morales and Jacee Miller led Bangs with five kills apiece, while Halle Lance served two aces and Miller and Kyra Smith added one each.

Bangs (9-16, 1-3) will be back in action at noon Saturday at Comanche.
