COMANCHE — The Early Lady Horns notched their second District 6-3A volleyball win in a row Tuesday, chalking up a 25-12, 25-12, 25-12 victory at Comanche.
“We dominated them from start to finish,” said Early third-year head coach Natalie Whitewood. “It was a nice win to help build confidence and work on the fundamentals before we play a tough opponent Friday. We had complete control from point one and it was an outstanding district win.”
Early (19-11, 3-1) received eight kills from Taylor Summers, six from Alexa Portillo, three each from Trinity Tomlinson and Gwen Phillips, and one apiece from Carrigan Norris, Vance-Cady Gordon and Savannah Holt.
Gordon distributed 11 assists while Summers was credited with one.
Norris, Gordon and Summers served two aces each while Khyla Bell chipped in one.
Defensively, Tomlinson's 16 digs were a team-high trailed by 14 from Gordon, 13 from Haley Spieckerman, 10 from Summers, and one each from Norris and Bell.
Tomlinson logged the only block for Early.
The Lady Horns will be back in action at 4 p.m. Friday when they host Dublin.
