Brownwood High School's Sammy Burnett, Jessica Lynn and Laura Martin will serve as head coaches during the Big Country FCA 2020 All-Star Festival, which will take place June 7-13 in four different Big Country cities. The Big Country FCA 2020 All-Star Festival will feature

more than 300 of the area’s top student-athletes participating in one of seven sports — football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, golf and cheerleading.

Burnett, the Lions head football coach, will guide the Blue team in the 21st Myrle Greathouse All-Star Football Classic at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene on Saturday night, June 13.

Lynn, the Lady Lions head softball coach, will lead the South softball team in their game Friday, July 12 in San Angelo.

Martin, the Lady Lions golf head coach, will be in charge of the girls team at the inaugural Big Country FCA All-Star golf tournament on the Kingdom Course at Solid Rock Camp in Eastland. The event will take place Sunday, June 7 through Tuesday, June 9.

Blanket's Tyler Tabor along with Junction's John Contrucci, a former Brownwood assistant, will be members of Burnett's football coaching staff.

The FCA All-Star player selection reveal will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 at Beltway Church south campus in Abilene. The FCA All-Star Induction and Awards Banquet will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at the Abilene Civic Center.

Along with the aforementioned events, the Brownwood Coliseum will again be the site of the girls and boys basketball games on Saturday, June 13.
