The District 7-4A boys basketball champion Brownwood Lions completed an undefeated run through their league schedule and established a new season-high in points with Tuesday's 94-75 triumph over Godley on Senior Night at Warren Gym.

Brownwood led 28-17 after one quarter, 52-37 at halftime and 76-50 through three frames.

A.J. McCarty again paced the offense with 26 points followed by 19 from John Wilhelm, 16 from Zach Strong, 11 from Isyah Campos, six each from Josh Baucom and Brandon Hamrick, five from Beau Bronniman, three from Drew Huff and two points from Cooper Swanzy.

“Everyone played well tonight,” said Lions head coach Nadir Dalleh. “We were able to dictate the pace of the game from the very start. I'm very proud of these guys and especially the seniors.”

Alex Schmidt led Godley with 21 points.

The Lions (27-5, 8-0) finished the regular season with the most wins in a single campaign for Dalleh.

Plans for the Lions' bi-district playoff contest had not been finalized as of press time.
