Bulletin Staff Report

Seven boys and girls, ages 10 to 14, from Brown County were named local champions of the Knights of Columbus free throw championship and earned the right to compete at the district level in Ballinger. Each contestant was allowed to attempt 15 free throws.

The 10-year-old champions were Delaney Hutson for the girls and Trenton Carlton for the boys, while Corey Crowell claimed the boys 11-year-old division.

For the 12-year-olds, Loveleigh Gonzales was the girls winner while Matthew McCrane was the top boy.

Jorge Gonzales captured the boys 13-year-old division while Aaron Gomez won the 14-year-old boys contest.

The event was held at the Howard Payne University Wellness Center and was sponsored by the Fr. F.X. Fassbender Council 3867.
