Cook and Shepherd exchanged vows May 17, 2014

Jane Claire Cook and Justin David Shepherd both of Nashville exchanged wedding vows at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, with officiant Graham Cook. The bride was given in marriage by her parents Dr. and Mrs. Cook.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Ronald Cook and Mrs. Sara Cook of Lorena, Texas. She has a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri, a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Baylor University. Claire is a 2000 graduate of Brownwood High School.?The bride is currently employed as an Assistant Professor of Child Development and Family Studies at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Mr. Jon Shepherd and Mrs. Karen Shepherd of Arnold, Mo. He has a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Missouri, and Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University. The groom is currently employed as the Registrar at Vanderbilt University's Law School.

The bride's matron of honor was Rebeccah Bradshaw Baucom of Nashville, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Miss Lisa Sullins of Richardson, Texas, and Mrs. Niki Harris of Columbia, Mo.

The groom's best man was Mr. Jared Shepherd of Minneapolis, Minn. Groomen were Mr. Justin Ellis of St. Louis, Mo., and?Mr. JP Harris of Columbia, Mo.

The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The happy newly weds will reside in Nashville, Tenn.
