Houston police ID slain mother, SUV missing, no arrests

HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police investigating the killing of a woman at her home are looking for her SUV amid the search for her attacker.

Police say the vehicle owned by 24-year-old Sandra Carpio remained missing Friday.

Investigators didn't immediately release information about possible suspects in the slaying.

Carpio's body was discovered Thursday morning in her apartment where her five children and another relative were located unharmed. No cause of death was immediately released. The youngsters were placed with Child Protective Services.

Her missing vehicle is a 1999 blue Dodge Durango with Texas license plate FCP-4060.
