Health department offering influenza vaccines for all ages

Flu season is here, and it is time to start thinking about getting your annual flu vaccine. Getting a flu vaccine every year is the best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu and its potential serious complications. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone six months and older get vaccinated by the end of October.

The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department in now offering the influenza vaccine for all ages. No appointment is required. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m. and until 6 p.m. every Wednesday.
