‘Ring of Fire’ to showcase music of Johnny Cash

Lyric Theatre Managing Director Eric Evans described the upcoming production “Ring of Fire – the Music of Johnny Cash” as a “juke box musical” that opens Friday with a six-member cast and live band.

* 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5

* 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6

* 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11

* 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11

* 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12

* 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13

The show is directed by Nicholas Ewen.

Evans said he thinks of the word “earthy” when he thinks of Cash’s music. “Ring of Fire” will bring “very impressive vocals and Johnny’s music, and strong passion about who he was and what he believed in is present.”
