Brownwood man dies in motorcycle crash

A 31-year-old Brownwood man is dead following a motorcycle crash Sunday evening north of the city, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Aaron Anthony Olivarri was driving a 2005 Honda motorcycle about 25 miles north of Brownwood on County Road 563 around 7:40 p.m. Sunday, when he lost control of the bike while trying to negotiate a curve, the release states.

The motorcycle left the roadway and went into the bar ditch and flipped over.

Olivarri was pronounced dead at the scene.

Olivarri’s passenger, 30-year-old Brittany Nicole Pierce, also of Brownwood, was taken to John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth. She is listed in stable condition with non-incapacitating injuries, according to the release.

The posted speed limit on the road is 55 mph, and weather and road conditions were clear/cloudy and dry at the time of the accident, per the release.

The accident remains under investigation.
