Police recover 17 grams of meth, arrest 2

Two Brownwood residents remained jailed Monday on narcotics charges after Brownwood and Early police seized more than 17 grams of methamphetamine Friday at an Early motel, police said.

Kelsi Lamb, 22, and Taylor Snow, 28, were each charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, Brown County Jail records state. Their bonds are set at $50,000 each.

According to an email from Brownwood police:

Brownwood police detectives information Friday that illegal narcotics were being distributed out of an Early motel room.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. officers with the Brownwood and Early police departments executed a search and arrest warrant of a room at the Royal Inn Motel in the 800 block of Early Boulevard).

While conducting a search of the room, officers located more than 17 grams of suspected methamphetamine. This substance was packaged in a manner consistent with distribution.

Lamb and Snow were arrested at the scene.

“The Brownwood Police Department encourages anyone to contact local law enforcement about any suspicious or illegal activity as we continue to work as a team to remove this problem from our community,” police said via email.
