15 arrested in child trafficking investigation

Brown County Sheriff’s officials released few details Monday on a child trafficking investigation earlier this month that resulted in 15 arrests on charges of online solicitation of a minor.

Mulitiple law enforcement agencies were involved.

According to a sheriff’s office press release:

The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, along with the Abilene Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Brownwood Police Department, conducted a child trafficking operation in Brown County on Aug. 6-7.

The operation was headquartered at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center in Brownwood. The operation targeted individuals who were allegedly soliciting minors online for sexual encounters. The operation lead to the arrest of 12 individuals in Brown County and the arrest of three in other counties.

Sheriff’s officials identified those arrested in Brown County as as James Duvall, Dickie Flanagan, Cody Gault, Scotty Gotcher, Frank Greenwood, Ryan Hunt, Logan Hutson, Demarcus Lockett, Grady Barclay, Charles Batts, Ricky Blue and Adu Bukasa.
