Beryl Ray Chapman. 81, of Corinth, Texas, (formerly of Mesquite, Texas) died Friday, Sept. 4, 2020 at his home.

He was born to Claude Andrew Chapman and Rosa Lee Smiddy Chapman on Feb. 21, 1939. He in Army and later worked as a deputy sheriff. He married Mary Lois VanderLinden in 1961. He went on to work for the Postal Service.

Beryl was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by his two daughters, Leann Zondag of May, Texas and Tyra Sprabary Corinth; and five grandchildren. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Tira Cemetery.
