Street work under way

Brownwood Street Department employees work Wednesday to repave a section of Avenue M on both sides of the intersection with Belmeade. The repaving is a carryover from the previous fiscal year. The city did not work earlier on the project as city officials slowed the pace of projects, waiting to see how COVID would impact the budget, City Finance Director Walter Middleton said.
