Brown County reports 1 new virus case, 34 negative results
The Brown County Health Department reported one new positive test result of COVID-19, 34 negatives and three recoveries on Monday.
The positive case is a man in his 30s who is a healthcare worker, according to a news release from the department. He is currently self-isolating out of the county. Prior to his test, he reportedly wore masks when in the community and at work.
The 34 negative test results were from various community sources during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. There were three people added to the recovery list Monday.
The total positive tests for Brown County is now 61.

• 15 pending
• 61 positive cases
• 47 recovered
• 10 deaths
The Brown County Health Department has two hotline numbers for questions about COVID-19. The numbers are (325) 642-2635 or (325) 430-5933. Calls are taken from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A health department employee will answer questions and may perform a health screening over the phone.
Should you need a higher level of care, they will direct you. The purpose of phone screenings is to reduce the congestion in local medical facilities and allow social distancing. Be patient if you are not directly connected, as calls will be answered in the order they are received. If you are planning to see a physician, call before arrival.
The city of Brownwood has set up www.brownwoodtexas.gov/health as an online portal with up-to-date information regarding the confirmed COVID-19 cases and additional preventative measures.
