Amelia Collins, a senior at Brownwood High School, has been named the March Student of the Month for Brownwood Rotary Club. She is shown with club President Penny Riggs. Amelia is involved in the HOSA chapter on campus, designed for students with an interest in a career in health occupations. She won first in state HOSA events last year and went on the nationals, and will compete again this year. She also led a fund-raiser to help fight childhood cancer. She is a member of National Honor Society, and was the local Rotary Club's choice to attend the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp last summer. She is involved with CHOICES mentoring program, and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She plans to attend Ranger College to receive her Associate's Degree, and will graduate from high school with her CNA license.
