Taylor demonstrates water color pencils

Members of the Brownwood Art Assoc. listened intently and observe the techniques of Texas artist Warren Taylor as he demonstrated the use of water color pencils, Saturday.

The next BAA event is the Muse and Merlot, beginning at 6:30 p.m. March 14. Attendees will receive instructions on the techniques to recreate the Gretzky painting, Cat on a Fence in the Moonlight. The $35 fee covers the necessary materials, but reservations must be made in advance, by sending an email to brownwoodart@gmail.com.

Other March events include a solo exhibit of the artwork of local artist Tommy Munster, 6 to 10 p.m. March 22. Taylor will return for a three-day workshop on water soluble pencils and crayons, March 28 - 30. There is a $175 fee for the seminar.

On Saturday, BAA members elected new officers. Beginning June 1, Tommy Munster will serve as president, Sarah Brown as 1st VP-Yearbook, Christopher Gaston as 2nd VP-Newsletter, Amanda Leija as 3rd VP-Programs, Sulema Orr as 4th VP-Exhibits, Imber Covington as Treasurer, Kathy Eoff as Secretary, Charlotte Tucker as Report/Publicity, Melanie Naylor as Parliamentarian, and Brandy Shaw as auditor.
