Lawmen investigate thefts, burglaries

Crime report

Police and sheriff's deputies are following up on several reports of thefts and burglaries including:

• Deputy John Harper took a report on the theft of a drill and hammer drill from property on FM 2492. A man who had been working at the property pawned the tools at a local pawn shop.

• Deputy Kelly Marsh was dispatched to FM 585, where a woman said she'd gotten into an argument with two other women. The two other women walked away, taking the complainant's backpack which contained items including a mini laptop, a Nintendo DS game and her boyfriend's tattoo gun.

• Brownwood police took a report of the theft of a large sum of money from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of East Baker.

• Police took a report on the theft of a back set of wheels and tires from a new pickup parked at Stanley Chrysler.

• An officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Vine, where someone took a lawn mower.

• Police were dispatched to the 300 block of North Main on a report that someone stabbed a tire on a car with a knife.

Individuals booked into the Brown County Jail between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday were:

Marlin Eoff, 21, Brownwood, motion to adjudicate for theft.

Damion Maxwell, 31, Brady, failure to appear in municipal court.

Jonathon Moreno, 22, Brownwood, motion to revoke for DWI.

Londa Nuzum, 47, Amarillo, DWI.

David Shaw, 35, Mullin, motion to revoke for possession of a controlled substance.

Colin Smith, 27, Brownwood, possession of a controlled substance.
