Brown County Democrats meet

In lieu of their regularly scheduled monthly meeting, the Brown County Democratic Party met Saturday morning. David Bullion, the Brown County chair, facilitated the meeting, held at the Bennie Houston Recreation Center.
Although informal discussions covered a wide range of topics, from the Affordable Care Act to which candidates to support in the primary run-off races, the agenda for the meeting was to select delegates to the state party convention and to solicit ideas for the party platform.
Seven members volunteered and were approved to attend the June 26-28 state convention, being held in Dallas, along with Bullion. Jerry Don and Sandra McSwain, Mike and Judy Bullard, James and Suzanne Procise, and David and Loretta Bullion plan to represent Brown County.
The Brown County Democrats meet the fourth Thursday of every month, skipping the March date, at 5:30 p.m. in the Bennie Houston Recreation Center at 505 Cordell.
