KV, Kenny Vaccaro III, shown here last Easter, can’t wait for this year’s Breakfast with the bunny.

The date is at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 12, for your date with the Easter Bunny! This year Heartland Mall is joining together with The ARK Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Shelter and hosting an opportunity for kids to have their pictures made with the Easter Bunny. Tickets are just $5 each for either children or adults. Breakfast and all the other fun activities are included in the ticket price. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will take place in an empty store space in the center of the Heartland Mall. One half of the large area will be roped off for age related Easter Egg Hunts, and the other will feature Breakfast and an area for photos with the Easter Bunny taken by Walgreens Pharmacy. There will also be an area with photo props, such as funny glasses, boas, and rabbit ears for kids to dress up and you can bring your own camera to take their pictures. The Chick Fil-A Cow has signed up to make an appearance as a treat for the kids.

Tickets can be purchased at the Heartland Mall Office at the main entrance to the mall, or at CMS Health Care at 1102 Early Blvd. in Early. The last day to buy tickets is Thursday, April 10. When you purchase your tickets, you may also pick up entries for the Coloring contest. Kids may color or paint their entries and bring the entry with them to the breakfast. Entries will be judged by three age categories: birth to 4 years, 5 years to 8 years, and 9 years to 12 years. Prizes, furnished by CS Toyland, will be awarded to each age group.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be separated into two sections: one for children under the age of 5 and the other side for the older children up to age 12. Children 5 to 8 will get a head start in the older children’s egg hunt. Some of the eggs will have prize tickets inside them which can be redeemed for prizes. Make sure you bring your child’s Easter basket with them for the egg hunt.

Breakfast for the event will consist of a variety of locally baked donuts and fruit. Chocolate and white milk will be made available from Gandy’s Dairy.
