Six from Blanket, five from Zephyr make 19-A boys basketball all-district list

Six Blanket Tigers and five Zephyr Bulldogs were recently selected to the 19-A all-district boys basketball roster by the coaches of the league.

Blanket sophomore Blake Hood was tabbed offensive player of the year while Tiger senior Jordan Chasteen was named defensive player of the year.

Making the first team from Blanket were senior Toby Florence and sophomore Luke Kinkade. Second-team choices for the Tigers were senior Croston Barron and junior Eddie Hernandez.

For Zephyr, first-team honorees included junior Bishop Norman, sophomore Kason King and freshman Devin Williams. Landing on the second-team were Bulldog senior Jacob King and sophomore Trent Hallum.

Adam Hurst was chosen as MVP and Chandler Hurst was selected newcomer of the year, both from Priddy.

The rest of the first team included Mullin’s Matthew Weaver and Ricky Delarosa, Sidney’s Beau Cheatham, Gustine’s Armando Buitron and Priddy’s Jayden Schrank.

The remainder of the second team featured Sidney’s Garrett Drummond and Dennis Morales, Gustine’s Jonathan Escamilla, Mullin’s William Hines and Priddy’s Aaron Ivy, Zach House and Matthew Smith.
