Dragons halt skid, dismantle Winters, 20-4

BANGS — The Bangs Dragons snapped a five-game skid with a 20-4 thrashing of the Winters Blizzards Friday night.

Bangs (3-7-1) trailed 1-0 after one inning, led 8-4 after two, 17-4 after three and scored its final three runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Dragons tallied 18 hits, drew five walks and capitalized on five Winters errors.

Dragons Tucker Tarpley, Mason Reichenau and Colton Brewer combined to toss a five-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk.

Offensively for Bangs, Reichenau was 5 for 5 with a triple, double and three RBIs; Brewer finished 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs; Chance Beck was 4 for 5 with three RBIs; Tarpley went 2 for 4 with three RBIs; Zach Fuqua and Zach Zink each contributed one hit and one RBI; and Charlie Bettis, Landon James and Kolton James also singled.

The Dragons visit Wall at 5 p.m. Monday.
