Some Americans run in a turkey trot on Thanksgiving. Others run directly to the couch. If you’re in the latter category, chances are you’ll be tuning in for the 93rd Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Here’s everything you need to know about Thursday’s parade, including how to stream it online even if you don’t have cable.

When does it start?

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade runs from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 28.

Where can I watch?

If you have basic cable or satellite, you can watch the parade hosted by Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker on your local NBC station. NBC will also show an encore of the parade starting at 2 p.m. Thursday. You can stream the parade live online here or on the NBC app.

What balloons will be there?

The parade’s main claim to fame is the larger-than-life balloons along the 2.5 mile parade route. Characters include Astronaut Snoopy, a Dr. Seuss "Green Eggs and Ham" balloon, a balloon created by famed artist Yayoi Kusama, Smokey Bear and SpongeBob SquarePants and Gary. Other balloons include Chase from "Paw Patrol," Greg Heffley from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," Goku from "Dragon Ball," classic Macy's balloon Harold the Fireman, The Grinch, Olaf from "Frozen," Pikachu, the Pillsbury Doughboy, the red Power Ranger, Ronald McDonald, the Elf on the Shelf and characters from "Trolls."
