Love hummus? Keep chickpeas in the pantry to whip up a batch

There are some recipes that become so familiar and comforting that you make them out of habit and with no need for measuring or thought. For me, that’s hummus. I love it and make sure I have it prepared and ready to enjoy nearly every week. Sometimes it’s spicy, and other times I go crazy with the garlic. But it’s there in the fridge waiting to meet a raw carrot.
