Caedmon Tidwell, right, as Ren McCormack, manages to get a job waiting tables after he and his mother relocate from Chicago to the small town of Bomont in the Lyric Theatre’s production of “Footloose.” In this scene, he talks with students from his new high school who are, from to right, India Yogt (playing Ariel Moore), Andie Lyn Tidwell (playing Wendy Jo), Kate Yantis (playing Rusty), and Sidney Becktold (playing Urleen). The relocated student expected to make some adjustments at school, but the rigorous local edicts, which include a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, is more than he can accept. The show will run this weekend only with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for students, and may be reserved at brownwoodlyrictheatre.com. Gene Deason / Special to the Bulletin
