Supreme Court ruling sets up Texas ban

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional protection for abortion and allowing states to set their own laws regulating the procedure. This represents one of the most significant judicial reversals in generations and is expected to have far-reaching consequences for all Texans.

Luna Maya Ribbon Cutting

Luna Maya is a baby and children’s boutique offering everything from clothing to swaddles, diaper bags, and much more. Luna Maya has been operating as a booth in Shaw’s Marketplace and was established in 2020 by Rachel Howell. The new location features beautiful windows lining the front wall of the boutique offering a light and airy feel to the large but cozy space. Rachel plans to host events to bring the Brownwood community together. Dates to remember June 27 – State Fair Lamb/Goat Validation 9am – 10am at the Extension Office 28 – State Steer/Heifer Validation 9am – 11am at Bob Clarks Pens 29 – Brown 4-H County Council Interviews at the Extension Office July 4 – Extension Office Closed for Independence Day 12 – Deadline to Enter West Texas Fair, Abilene If you are planning on exhibiting a steer at the Brown County Youth Fair or a State Show it is mandatory that the steer is validated. If you are planning on showing a heifer at any fall shows and has not been validated, you will need to have it at validation.
