Kelly Zabel

Kelly Lane Zabel born July 15, 1980, in Brownw o o d , Texas left the earthly bonds of this world to soar among the stars for eternity. Kelly will always be loved and will never be forgotten. Kelly’s indomitable fighting spirit and soft, kind heart were the best parts of her. She is preceded in death by her Mama, Betty Frances Zabel, her Papa, Charles Zabel, and her beloved dogs Bo and Bandit. She is survived by her father and stepmother Larry & Phyllis Zabel, her mother and step-father, Karen & Eddie Croft, her siblings Rebecca Zabel-Brewer, Zane Zabel, Wayne Zabel Jr., Rachael Konkel, William Moore, and Carey Riley. Memorial services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that a donation be made to NAMI of Central Texas in loving memory of Kelly Lane Zabel.

Dates to remember July 12 – Deadline to Enter West Texas Fair, Abilene 14 – Brown 4-H County Council Meeting 4:00pm at the Extension Office 26 – Deadline to Apply for Bronze, Silver, & Gold Star Awards August 12 – State Fair Entry Deadline 12 – Heart of Texas Fair Deadline Brown 4-H County Council meeting There will be a county council meeting on Thursday July 14th 4:00pm at the Extension Office. This meeting will be to finalize plans for the upcoming Brown County 4-H Banquet and Kick Off event.

Sister Act, Act 2

These photos by Gene Deason are from Act 2 of the Lyric Theatre musical comedy “Sister Act,” which opened Friday for an eight-peformance run.
