Summer has ended, but does Mother Nature know?

Boom. And just like that, the 105-degree afternoons and the 80-degree mornings were gone. May they never return, not even next summer. We don’t need to suffer through weather that hot. For me, it was almost like the days of my childhood, which were spent in the foothills of the North Carolina mountains. Summers were merely “warm” by Texas standards, although we considered highs of 88 degrees to be miserable. Such temperatures were common in August, but those days also weren’t long-lived.
