SWEETWATER – The Early Longhorns raced to a 62-point halftime lead, then played reserves in the second half and settled for a 62-0 win over the Odessa Compass Cougars in a Class 3A Division II bidistrict football game Thursday night at the Mustang Bowl.
Warm and dry indoors on a wet, chilly morning, a large crowd gathered in the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Brownwood to commemorate Veterans Day. The commemoration, initially planned at the Central Texas Veterans Memorial, included patriotic music, speeches and the dedication of two plaques.
