It’s a good bet many of you have a surplus of fresh venison in your freezer. Properly butchered and prepared venison is one of my favorite meats and I know many love eating it chicken fried or maybe with rice and gravy. But there is many ways to put all that tasty protein to good use other than the more conventional methods.

Dates to remember January 2 – Extension Office Closed for New Year’s Holiday 8-14 – Brown County Youth Fair 16 – Extension Office Closed for Martin Luther King Jr Day If you are going to need help clipping your show animal for the Youth Fair, please contact the Extension Office and schedule a date and time. We will begin clipping animals January 5th – 7th.

Additional deaths in 2022 recalled

Here is a roll call of some influential figures who died in 2022: January Dan Reeves, 77. He won a Super Bowl as a player with the Dallas Cowboys but was best known for a long coaching career that included four blowout losses in the title game with the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons.
