Abbott congratulates Brownwood as tourism friendly community

Governor Greg Abbott congratulated the City of Brownwood on being designated as a Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community by Travel Texas in the inaugural year of the program after completing the multi-step certification process. The Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community designation shows Brownwood’s commitment to further develop tourism as an economic growth strategy, boost local job creation, and draw more visitors to their community and to Texas from across the nation and around the world.

HPU hosts three Spring Break trips

During HPU’s Spring Break from March 10-14, several students had the opportunity to travel with various HPU programs. Ten HPU students and seven faculty and staff members traveled to Honduras for a mission trip, the biology department took students in the Global Studies in Biology class to London and Cambridge, and the Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) attended Beach Reach at South Padre Island.
