HPU to host Summer and Young Scholars programs

When one nitpicks, there’s no end to it. We’re all frequently guilty, and I admit to being among chief sinners, particularly since the term’s initial usage began in 1956, the same year I finished Early High School. Sudden thought: Maybe I’m the guy who first justified the term.
The HPU Concert Choir will present “A Service of Evensong” on Tuesday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church at 700 Main St. in Brownwood.

What a busy month this has been at the garden! There are always things to do, but this time of year we have to prioritize and make sure at least the most important items get marked off of our list.
Brownwood Independent School District announced its first-ever Ability Expo, an event dedicated to showcasing the talents and achievements of students in BISD Life Academics programs, as well as providing planning support and resources for families. The event will take place on May 6, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BISD Central Support Center (2707 Southside Drive).
There’s a “day” for everything, it seems, and a “month” too, when specific events or items are identified for observance.
