Do Private Schools Really Outperform Public Schools?

f you follow state politics you must have heard about the controversial topic of Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), also sometimes called school vouchers, which allow public tax funds to pay for private schools or homeschooling. While recently listening to three Texas legislators debate the pros and cons of ESAs on The Texan podcast, Representative Brad Buckley claimed, “you’ll never make a public school private and you’ll never make a private school public.” I have heard other legislators make similar remarks and it really resonated with me.
