 Thanksgiving sacrifice

The wording that the psalmist used in this passage points us back to “the thanksgiving sacrifice” that is listed in the seventh chapter of the book of Leviticus. Unlike, the other offerings of worship in ancient Israel, such as the peace offering, burnt offering, grain offering, and sin offering, the offering of thanks was not required by God... Instead, this offering of worship was to be given to God voluntarily. In other words, you didn’t have to tell God thank you for all His favor and grace... But of course, the Lord most certainly was honored and glorified when the people of Israel chose to offer up thanksgiving sacrifices.

Numbers remained low into the mid-1900s, with only an estimated 100,000 birds in 1959. Not to worry, conservation-minded decisions to protect and promote important habitat increased the species' numbers, and by 1970, Texas had an estimated 575,000 birds.

However, there are several considerations besides money that can impact a household’s overall well-being. While financial literacy is paramount, families also should look for ways to manage their collective resources. These range from: time and energy, to personal belongings and the spaces in our homes, to relationships.
